As Americans continue to celebrate Women’s History Month, I’m drawn to the social media posts and the messages of encouragement and hope being shared. From self-care tips to prioritize one’s health, women sharing lessons learned about the value and power of collaboration and the excitement of women networking together, it brings a smile to my face to see how far women have come since WHM was first celebrated in 1980 and that our future is brighter than ever. Do we have hurdles to climb? Dreams to realize? Absolutely! But in this century, dreams and hard work do become realities.
One area where women have historically struggled is feeling financially secure and independent. It’s estimated that by 2030, women will control $30 trillion in personal wealth. With this amount of wealth, more financial institutions are focusing on women’s unique needs. It is possible for women to become financially secure. At Argent, we put your needs first and we do this in a couple of ways: advocating for you, providing fiduciary-based wealth management, and using a team approach.
One of my colleagues recently shared about advocating for a client and how important it is. It starts with new client engagement — understanding a client’s needs and ensuring that Argent is a good fit. As we get to know one another, we become aware of your goals and needs and get a clearer picture of your financial needs. This allows us to provide better client service where we pay attention to the details so you can enjoy your day-to-day life.
Another thing that sets Argent apart is our fiduciary-based wealth management, where your needs come first. I’ll share the words of another colleague because she says it best, “As a true fiduciary, we are required to put our client’s needs first. By definition, a fiduciary is an individual in whom another has placed the utmost trust and confidence to manage and protect property and money. A fiduciary relationship demands the highest duty of care. As a fiduciary who manages investments, it means acting in the client’s best interest.”
Lastly, our multi-disciplinary team approach allows us to view your relationship from different perspectives, yet we all come together with an approach tailored to your needs. Our clients have a team that understands a woman’s short-term and long-term goals and shares the responsibility to get to know you and tailor a financial plan designed to protect, manage and grow your wealth. Our dedicated professionals include CPAs, attorneys, trust advisors, mineral managers, retirement planning specialists and more. When we gather around the table, each professional uses their skills, knowledge and experience to understand your goals better and create a strategy that we can implement, monitor and adjust as your needs change.
Recently, I saw the movie “Cabrini” on the life and work of Sister Frances Xavier Cabrini, often called Mother Cabrini. She sought approval from Pope Leo XIII to establish missions in China, but the Pope directed her to America, where the Italian immigrant population was living in poverty. I was enthralled by the unbelievable odds she faced and how she developed resources to garner the support needed to fulfill her mission. Cabrini brought people together, gave them hope, and educated children so they could have a better life. Some describe her as relentless and that she built an empire of hope.
When I think of how far women have come in my lifetime, it’s because we stand on the shoulders of other women like Mother Cabrini. Women who have a relentless spirit that has opened doors for us to realize our potential, including our financial independence, and women who will advocate for you, provide fiduciary-based wealth management and assemble a team that you deserve. Argent recognizes the unique needs of women, and we welcome the opportunity to serve you.
